For the purpose of assessing the situation with children in the specialized elementary and secondary schools, the Ombudsman conducted a research in these schools in the period October-December last year. By analyzing the answers given by these schools, as well as by directly inspecting most of them, the Ombudsman detected a considerable decrease of the number of children enrolled in the specialized elementary and secondary schools in comparison to the detected situation in 2010.
