Ombudsman Daily News, 3 February 2014
On 1 February 2014, Charlotte De Geer Fällman was appointed to the role of Liaison Officer for the Parliamentary Ombudsmen of Sweden. She replaces Marianne von der Esch, the Head of the International Division, who has held the post of Liaison Officer since 1999, and who will retire from the Swedish Ombudsmen's Office in June. Charlotte has worked for the Swedish Ombudsmen for many years and will already be known to many of you given her role as International Coordinator and Senior Legal Adviser. Ombudsman Daily News would like to thank Marianne for her support for the Network over the last 15 years. She became Liaison Officer shortly after the European Network of Ombudsmen was created and has been a source of knowledge and guidance for the Network ever since, as well as a good friend to colleagues throughout the Network.
We are happy to welcome Charlotte to the European Network of Ombudsmen and hope that the close collaboration between the Network and the Office of the Swedish Ombudsmen will continue to develop.
The new contact details have been added to the contacts list of national ombudsmen and similar bodies, national liaison officers, and regional ombudsmen and similar bodies, which is available via the 'Network members' section of the Extranet in PDF, Excel, and Word formats. The list includes all ombudsmen, chairs of committees on petitions, and liaison officers at the European, national, and regional levels in the EU, in the candidate countries for EU membership, in Norway, and in Switzerland.
