In the Republic of Macedonia there is still a considerable number of unregistered persons in the registry which represents an obstacle in terms of achieving the basic rights of these people. Due to this the Ombudsman recommends intensification of the action of the Agency for registration of persons in the birth registry with the non-governmental society, aiming at decreasing the number of such persons.
