The values on which the European Union was founded are under threat as terrorism and uncertainty stoke the fires of populism, racism and discrimination. As we approach the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Rome, strong leadership is needed across the EU to remind us of the common values of respect, rights and the rule of law that unite us all, says the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA).
