The erosion of press freedom undermines democracy and an inclusive society, says the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) on World Press Freedom Day on 3 May. It calls for stronger safeguards to ensure the laws guaranteeing media freedom and pluralism are fully respected.
