Irish Ombudsman and IOI President Peter Tyndall and Austrian Ombudsman and IOI Secretary General Günther Kräuter took part in the annual European Network of Ombudsman Conference on 8-9 March 2018 in Brussels. The conference topics were the future of the EU, current and future challenges for Ombudsmen and cross-border problem solving for EU citizens.

Last year the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman hosted its first annual open meeting for users of its service which provided a platform to hear about and feedback on the work of the Ombudsman. The second annual open meeting will take place on 22 May 2018 in London presenting a further opportunity to hear about its work and future plans. 

The Ombudsman of the Cayman Islands invites applications for a temporary appointment to the position of Deputy Ombudsman (Complaints). The purpose of this temporary post (to March 11, 2020), is to provide leadership in establishing a complaints process for members of the public relating to police misconduct and to establish all of the policies, guidance and educational materials required to support the goals of the Whistleblower Protection Law.

The Office of the Defender of Human Rights of Armenia has established a new Business and Human Rights Unit, which will deal with the protection of rights in the field of business. The aim of this new unit is to contribute to the implementation of business-related human rights across the country through research, monitoring and other activities.

The Ombudsman Mr. Ixhet Memeti had a meeting with the MEPs Mr. Eduard Kukan, Mr. Knut Fleckenstein and Mr. Ivo Vajgl, discussing the situation with the promotion and protection of human rights and freedoms in the Republic of Macedonia, and the challenges that the Ombudsman Institution is facing.

Contrairement à l’interruption de fourniture d’eau, le limiteur de débit permet de garder un certain accès à l’eau. Le Médiateur a publié des recommendations en la matière.

The Azerbaijani Ombudsman attended the General Assembly of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI), regional meetings of the European National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI) and plenary sessions on priority issues in Geneva in the week of 19^th February 2018.

Une délégation estudiantine de l’Université internationale de Floride, présidée par le Professeur Allan Rosenbaum, a effectué le mardi 27 février 2018 une visite, troisième du genre, à l’Institution du Médiateur du Royaume, et ce dans le cadre du Partenariat établi entre les Cités et Gouvernements Locaux Unies en Afrique et ladite université.
