On 20 September, FRA will take part in a roundtable meeting in Sofia on establishing national independent mechanisms to monitor fundamental rights compliance at EU external borders.
The Bulgarian Ministry of the Interior organised the meeting.
It will include participants from the European Commission, Border Police General Directorate, the UN Refugee Agency, Bulgarian Helsinki Committee, the Bulgarian Ombudsman and Frontex.
FRA will present its guidance on establishing national independent mechanisms to monitor fundamental rights compliance at EU external borders.
