In Tuesday’s constitutive meeting, the Committee on Petitions elected its new Bureau, consisting of a Chair and four Vice-Chairs.

The committee elected Mr Bogdan RZOŃCA (ECR, Poland) as its new Chair with 17 votes in favour, 16 against, and one abstention, for a period of 2.5 years.

The committee also elected its Vice-Chairs, all by acclamation:

1st Vice-Chair: Ms Dolors MONTSERRAT (EPP, Spain)

2nd Vice-Chair: Mr Fredis BELERIS (EPP, Greece)

3rd Vice-Chair: Mr Nils UŠAKOVS (S&D, Latvia)

4th Vice-Chair: Ms Cristina GUARDA (Greens/EFA, Italy)
