On September 12, 2025, the Public Defender of Georgia visited Penitentiary Establishment No. 5 and met with female defendants/convicts.

The Public Defender heard information from female prisoners about prison conditions and protection of their rights. The Public Defender also met with the institution's administration and inspected the infrastructure.

The Public Defender also visited Mzia Amaglobeli and Nino Datashvili. Nino Datashvili was informed that on September 10, 2025, the Public Defender had addressed the Minister of Justice of Georgia with a recommendation regarding her specific health problem and that the Office would continue to actively supervise the protection of her rights in the future.
