It has been reported that several complaints have been made to the Parliamentary Ombudsman concerning the appearance of Member of Parliament Teemu Keskisarja in Yle’s A-studio programme on 27 August 2025.

According to section 109 of the Constitution, the task of the Ombudsman is to ensure that courts of law, other authorities and civil servants, public employees and other persons, when the latter are performing a public task, obey the law and fulfil their obligations.

Meanwhile private persons, the Parliament and members of parliament do not fall within the competence of the Parliamentary Ombudsman laid down in the Constitution.

Therefore, Parliamentary Ombudsman Petri Jääskeläinen has concluded that he cannot investigate the actions of Member of Parliament Teemu Keskisarja. Complainants have been answered accordingly.
