The new-look Charterpedia will be presented at the 'Charting the Charter' conference that takes place from 16 to 17 June in Brussels. The event highlights the role and importance of the Charter in safeguarding fundamental rights.
Charterpedia, now fully integrated into the FRA website, is an online tool which provides easy-to-access information about the fundamental rights framework in the EU. It includes the full text and legal explanations of the Charter articles, related EU and national case law, and related FRA publications.
Charterpedia is also available as an app for iOS and Android mobile devices on the Apple App Store and Google Play. A new version of the app will be released at the end of this month.
The case law database is a compilation of case law with direct references to the Charter from the Court of Justice of the EU, the European Court of Human Rights, and from national courts.
