Today, SPSO is launching its Draft Strategic Plan for 2016-20. It lays out the key challenges and opportunities we foresee over the next four years and how we are preparing for them. We make three proposals about measures we will consider if the trend in rising complaints numbers and complexity continues and there is no increase in our investigations resource. We also highlight our new role in reviewing Scottish Welfare Fund decisions, and changes in relation to complaints arrangements under the Scottish Government's health and social care integration programme.
