The EU Agency for Fundamental Rights deplores the shocking attack on Krassimir Kanev, a leading Bulgarian human rights defender. Two attackers assaulted the Chair of the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee and FRA Management Board member on 27 October outside his hotel in Sofia and then fled.
