Millions of women, men and children forced from their homes as a result of conflict or persecution fall foul of ruthless traffickers. The 10th EU Anti-Trafficking Day on 18 October is time to take stock and renew efforts to counter this modern day plague affecting the most vulnerable in our society, says the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights.
