The Ombudsman Mr. Idjet Memeti had a meeting with the Ambassador of the EU Delegation in Macedonia, Mr. Samuel Zhbogar. At the meeting the Ambassador was acquainted with the work of the institution and the current challenges it is facing at the moment.

The Ambassador highlighted the support that the EU Delegation is giving to the country and the Ombudsman as a key tool to ensure the protection of the human rights and freedoms.

Both agreed that it is extremely important to ensure continuous and strong support to the Institution, given the new Law on the Ombudsman and the obligations arising thereto.
