The FRA Director will give a keynote speech at the 2020 Annual Conference of the Geneva Human Rights Platform on 15 October. He will focus on ‘Where are we today in terms of connectivity between regional and global human rights mechanisms’.

• It will also focus on relevant links with national systems and the overall effectiveness of these interactions in a number of specific policy areas like climate change, the fight against corruption or the COVID-19 pandemic. Speakers include the United Nations Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights, Nada Al-Nashif. The Geneva Human Rights Forum with the support of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs is organising the event.(link is external) It will bring together around 400 human rights actors from Geneva.
