Following discussions with the French Ombudsman, we would like to propose that the next ENO conference (27-28 April 2022 in the European Parliament in Strasbourg) focus on the digitalisation of public administrations and the challenges this brings.

We would very much like to hear your views on this topic so we can tailor the discussions accordingly.

Please could you tell us what issues you would like to focus on:

  • Increased digitalisation of public administrations during the pandemic – advantages and challenges
  • The potential exclusion of certain groups of people (such as elderly people)
  • The widening gap between public administrations and citizens due to automation of services
  • Other  (please elaborate).

Please indicate if you would like to be a speaker during the conference and include examples of what you would like to discuss (be it problems you identify in your work or solutions and best practices).

Please also indicate any other related issues that you think should be discussed within this overall topic.

We would kindly ask you reply to this short consultation by email (ano@ombudsman.europa.eu) by 10 January 2022. This will allow us to draw up a programme based on your suggestions and find suitable speakers within the ENO, as well as in the EU institutions, academia and elsewhere.

With our best wishes for a Happy New Year,

The ENO team
