The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ms. Sabina Aliyeva received Mr. Ghulam Isaczai, the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan in connection with the end of his tenure.

 At the meeting, the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan expressed her thankfulness to Gh. Isakzai for his support given to the Ombudsman Institution in the field of protection of human rights during her term of office.

 In his turn, while spoking on the effective collaboration with the Ombudsman Institution during his term, the guest thanked the Ombudsman for the warm reception.  He specifically emphasized the significance of the Institution in the achievement of the UN SDGs. It was noted that the UN Sustainable Cooperation Development Framework for 2021-2025 concluded between the UN Country Team and the Government of Azerbaijan will give a bigger impetus to the activity in this direction.  

 By the end of the meeting, S. Aliyeva wished much success in the future activity of Ghulam Isaczai.
