UK | World’s first official international Ombudsman review finds UK service is robust and good valueThe first ever peer review undertaken under the auspices of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) finds that the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) delivers an “efficient, enhanced and effective modern service” and provides significant value for stakeholders. It has become a much stronger organisation since a previous independent peer review in 2018.

AUSTRIA | Network of Southeast European NPMs meets in ViennaFrom 15 – 16 November 2022, the second meeting of this year of the Southeast European Network of National Preventive Mechanisms (SEE NPM Network) was held in Vienna under the chairmanship of the Austrian Ombudsman Board. Within this network, 13 NPMs meet regularly to exchange experiences and facilitate shared learning.

The woman said she had nothing but praise for the Ombudsman Commission (OC) after the Commission’s intervention set into motion the recovery of her title.

PAKISTAN | Ombudsman Sindh presents Annual Report 2021 to GovernorHon. Ombudsman Sindh, Mr. Ajaz Ali Khan, presented the Annual Report 2021 of the institution to the newly appointed Honourable Governor Sindh, Mr. Kamran Khan Tessori, on 18 November 2022. The Report highlights the performance, achievements and progress during the year 2021. During this period a total of 7,113 complaints were received, out of which 2,129 were admitted.
