On December 7, 2022, the Commissioner for Human Rights Marcin Wiącek, met with the President of the International Ombudsman Institute Chris Field, who is the Ombudsman of Western Australia.

The IOI president paid an official visit to Poland and Ukraine. In the meeting with the CHR, he was accompanied by the Australian Ambassador to Poland, Lloyd Brodrick.

The International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) is the world's largest organization associating approximately 200 independent ombudsman institutions from over 100 countries around the world. The IOI is organized into six regional divisions (Africa, Asia, Australasia and Pacific, Europe, Caribbean and Latin America, and North America).
