The vulnerabilities in the NHS have been exposed during the pandemic, but these challenges pre-date COVID-19. While every step is being taken to make sure the NHS is not overwhelmed by the latest variant, it is vital that, while it recovers, the NHS learns from its mistakes and comes back stronger. That’s why, to build on the story of reports such as these, it is vital the full public inquiry is held as soon as possible.
