The Ombudsman responded to this on 27 March.  The consultation included a section on complaints handling, which asked whether the powers of the SPSO should be extended.  In line with our normal practice, the Ombudsman did not express a view on this, as it is ultimately a decision for the Scottish Parliament, to whom we are accountable. Instead, he provided information that we hope will be helpful for those making that decision.
