El Defensor del Pueblo Andaluz ha iniciado una actuación de oficio al conocer, a través de los medios de comunicación, la existencia de diversos puntos incontrolados de vertidos en los que se depositan residuos de distinta naturaleza en el entorno de la ciudad de Jaén.

Con motivo de la queja presentada por una familia, hemos dirigido RECOMENDACIÓN para que en los procesos de redistribución de cupos por creación de nuevas plazas u otras causas organizativas, se excluyan de los procedimientos aleatorios que se efectúan para el reparto de los usuarios, a los que previamente hayan ejercitado el derecho a la libre elección de profesional sanitario, salvo en el caso improbable de que lo impida el volumen de solicitudes que se hayan realizado en este sentido.

On 4 November in Strasbourg, FRA met with representatives of the Registrar of the European Court of Human Rights, the Council of Europe Children’s Rights Division and FRA’s contractors to discuss the drafting of a handbook of European law on child rights.

In 2007, the Commission found that the undertakings Guardian, Asahi Glass, Pilkington and Saint-Gobain had unlawfully fixed prices in the flat-glass sector in the European Economic Area. The Commission imposed a fine of €148 million on Guardian. In 2012, the General Court upheld that decision. Guardian brought an appeal before the Court of Justice seeking to have the judgment of the General Court set aside and the fine reduced. It argued that the General Court failed to have regard to the principle of equal treatment in refusing to accept that, when the fine was calculated, sales between entities belonging to the same undertaking (internal sales) must be taken into account on the same basis as sales to independent third parties (external sales).
