Proposals to create a European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) should ease travel to the EU and simplify border checks. However, in its latest Opinion the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) points to various fundamental rights concerns in the system. These include the collection of sensitive personal data, who can access the data and how long the data are kept.

Des enfants de neuf États membres de l'UE ont exprimé leurs préoccupations au regard du défi que représente actuellement la protection des droits de l'homme dans l'ensemble de l'UE. Ils se sont joints aux experts pour émettre des suggestions pratiques sur la façon d'aborder cette problématique, notamment en ce qui concerne la migration et la pauvreté, au cours d'un symposium de haut niveau à Bruxelles le 28 juin, qui a soulevé la question de savoir si l'Europe s'investit suffisamment pour protéger les droits fondamentaux.
