Der Vorsitzende der iranischen Kontrollinstanz General Inspection Organization (GIO), S.E. Richter Naser Seraji, besuchte die 10. Konferenz des Internationalen Vereins für Antikorruptionsautoritäten (IAACA), die vom 22. - 24. Jänner 2019 in Wien stattfand. Ombudsman Seraji nutzte diesen Wien-Aufenthalt auch für ein Treffen mit dem Vorsitzenden der Volksanwaltschaft Dr. Peter Fichtenbauer und dem Generalsekretär des International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) Dr. Günther Kräuter.

Am 23. Jänner 2019 besuchte der Präsident der iranischen General Insepction Organization (GIO), S.E. Richter Naser Seraji, den Vorsitzenden der Volksanwaltschaft Dr. Peter Fichtenbauer zu einem bilateralen Treffen in der Volksanwaltschaft. Botschafter Dr. Johannes Peterlik, Generalsekretär im Außenminiterium, nahm ebenfalls an diesem Treffen teil.

Dr. Fichtenbauer und Botschafter Peterlik betonten die ausgesprochen guten Beziehungen zwischen Österreich und Iran, die ihr 160-jähriges Bestehen feierten und bereits in zahlreichen Kooperationen – vor allem im kulturellen und wissenschaftlichen Breich – ihre Bestätigung finden.

Ombudsman Seraji und Volksanwalt Fichtenbauer hoben beide die Wichtigkeit eines umfangreichen und aktiven Dialogs und Austausches mit Ombudseinrichtungen weltweit hervor. Man hofft sowohl seitens der GIO als auch der Volksanwaltschaft, dass mit diesem bilateralen Treffen im Bereich des Ombudswesens ein neues Standbein für zukünftige Kooperationen aufgebaut werden konnte und sich die traditionell guten Beziehungen zwischen Österreich und Iran damit noch weiter festigen werden.

Volksanwalt Kräuter empfing in seiner Funktion als Generalsekretär des International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) S.E. Richter Seraji am 25. Jänner 2019. Dieses Treffen stand ganz im Zeichen der Vernetzung von Ombudseinrichtungen weltweit in regionalen und internationalen Organisationen.

Als Gründungsmitglieder der Vereinigung asiatischer Ombudsman-Einrichtungen (Asian Ombudsman Association, AOA) unterstrich Ombudsman Seraji die Wichtigkeit einer engen Kooperation zwischen AOA und IOI und bot seine aktive Unterstüztung an, um die geplante Unterzeichnung eines Kooperationsabkommens zwischen IOI und AOA voranzutreiben.

Il Garante a fermo dopo un nuovo suicidio in carcere

marchigiani. Al centro dell’attenzione la vetustà del complesso, la mancanza di spazi e l’inadeguatezza delle tre celle destinate agli arrestati

Visita del Garante regionale presso il carcere di Fermo dopo il suicidio del detenuto quarantenne originario di Santo Domingo. L’uomo si trovava attualmente in regime di semilibertà. “Nel
complesso la struttura fermana – sottolinea Nobili – presenta numerose criticità, più volte evidenziate agli organismi preposti. Esiste un oggettivo problema di sovraffollamento, riportato
anche nel nostro Report sulla situazione degli istituti penitenziari, che abbiamo avuto modo di illustrare nei giorni scorsi”.

Al 31 dicembre, infatti, i detenuti erano settanta, di cui 22 stranieri, su una capienza regolamentare di 41. Il Garante fa anche riferimento alla vetustà della stessa struttura carceraria,
ricavata da un antico convento, che non offre gli spazi necessari a soddisfare le diverse esigenze. “Basti pensare – aggiunge – alla inadeguatezza delle tre celle destinate agli arrestati,
che danno vita ad una piccola sezione circondariale. Posti limitatissimi che rendono ancora più complesso il lavoro di controllo da parte della polizia penitenziaria. Nelle camere di
pernottamento si è arrivati ad inserire la terza branda nei letti a castello. Da non sottovalutare, infine, che la maggior parte dei detenuti ha problemi legati alla tossicodipendenza. Una
situazione difficilissima, che viene affrontata quotidianamente anche grazie alla grande volontà di tutti gli operatori che intervengono all’interno del carcere”.

L’ultimo suicidio in carcere sul territorio marchigiano era stato registrato a Villa Fastiggi nel luglio del 2018.

We all have the same rights - (Working with the persons with disabilities)

The Ombudsman of Azerbaijan (NHRI) pays important attention to the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities and on regular basis conducts different events on protection of the rights of persons with disabilities, works with the children in specialized facilities for down, autism and other syndromes and sends recommendations to the relevant state bodies.

 

As such, the premier performance of Moris Meterlink’s “The Blue Bird” put by the actors with disabilities of the first inclusive theater in Azerbaijan “ASA” (“Hand stick”) within the frames of the 10th Republican Exhibition-Fair of Arts of persons with limited physical capacities, musical-entertaining events of the “Integration of Children and Youth with Disabilities to Sport Public Union were conducted as well.

 

The Ombudsman and the staff took part at these events and shared Ombudsman’s good practices in the field of protection and promotion of the rights of the people with disabilities. During these events it was also highlighted the notion of disability, medical and social models in the approach to disability, advantages of the social model regarded as one based on human rights according to the UN Convention “On the Rights of Persons with Disabilities”, respect and dignity for those persons, protection of them from any discrimination.
