Firenze – Si terrà venerdì 29 settembre alle 11.30 a palazzo Vivarelli, sede della Provincia di Pistoia (piazza San Leone 1) la conferenza stampa di presentazione del rinnovo della convenzione tra la Difensora civica della Toscana e la Provincia di Pistoia. Il fine del documento è quello di assicurare un punto di ascolto sul territorio per rendere più agevole la presentazione delle istanze di tutela alla Difensora civica regionale.

Intervengono la Difensora civica regionale, Lucia Annibali, la consigliera regionale Luciana Bartolini e il presidente della Provincia di Pistoia Luca Marmo.

La Biblioteca del Real Consulado es un legado histórico de personas sabias, comenzando por su fundador Pedro Antonio Sánchez Vaamonde (Curtis 1749-Santiago de Compostela 1806), que se puede visitar hoy gracias al buen hacer de personas integrantes del patronato de la fundación, inscrita en 1807 en el protectorado de fundaciones culturales, y que a lo largo de los siglos lo enriquecen y conservan para nuestro conocimiento y el de las próximas generaciones.

El legado histórico comprende más de 33.000 volúmenes, de los que 200 son del siglo XVI, más de 700 del XVII y 5700 del siglo XVIII.

La Valedora acudió a la visita acompañada por la asesora de la institución Mar Barcón. Durante la misma, el presidente del patronato Javier Padín les regaló una explicación detallada del fondo antiguo de la biblioteca, pudiendo admirar la obra manuscrita de Francisco de Quevedo, así como incunables y otras joyas bibliográficas tal y como se aprecia en la fotografía. En la otra instantánea aparecen además varios integrantes del patronato.

Dieses Netzwerk umfasst Ombudspersonen aus öffentlichen Einrichtungen (Föderalstaat, Regionen, Gemeinden ...) als auch aus dem Privatsektor (Versicherungen, Banken, Post, Energieversorger ...)

'Eine Ombudsperson ist ein Vermittler. Sie wird tätig, wenn eine Person Schwierigkeiten mit einem öffentlichen oder privaten Dienst hat und die Situation nicht mit dem betreffenden Dienst lösen kann. Sie sorgt für eine Lösung, gibt Antworten und formuliert gegebenenfalls Empfehlungen zur Verbesserung der Dienstleistungen', erklärt Marc Bertrand, der Vorsitzende von ombudsman.be.

The Office of the Ombudsman took part in the International Conference of Ombudsman in Rome between 21-22 September. This conference was organised by the Ombudsman of the Lazio Region and the President of the National Coordination of Italian Ombudsmen, Mr. Marino Fardelli.

The event was hosted in the Chamber of Deputies Hall of Parliamentary Groups within the Italian Parliament, with discussions centered around ‘The Role of the Ombudsman in the World between reality and possibility.’

Ombudsmen and Human Rights Defenders from various continents attended the conference. Key topics included the role of the ombudsman in bridging the gap between citizens and local public authorities and the influence of digital transformation on the ombudsman’s duties.

Participants also discussed pressing global issues such as human rights during global crises, migration and cross-border conflicts challenges, and the right to health. The discussions explored access to care, the needs of vulnerable populations, and ways the ombudsman can improve public health services.

Moreover, the conference served as a platform for networking, allowing delegates from different jurisdictions to exchange ideas and share experiences.

Representing the Office of the Ombudsman were Mr. Paul Borg, Director General, and Mr. Jurgen Cassar, Head of Communications and Research.
