Dolores Fernández Galiño asistió el pasado viernes al acto de entrega de los Reconocimientos Meninas de Galicia 2024, con los que la Delegación del Gobierno significa el trabajo de personas y entidades gallegas en la lucha contra la violencia machista.

En la séptima edición los premios fueron para la jueza afgana Rahima Sabiri, las asociaciones Ecos del Sur, Axel y Alumbrar, el magistrado Fernando Lousada y la editora Teresa Zataraí.

 

The Ombudsperson took part in the conference on ‘Combating violence against women and domestic violence’, which took place on 25 November at the Casa das Histórias – Paula Rego, in Cascais, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

The joint initiative of the Ministries of Justice, Internal Administration, Youth and Modernisation featured speeches by various national experts representing government institutions and civil society, in a ‘joint reflection to strengthen the protection of victims and deepen the commitment to combating gender-based violence’.
