Am 16. Mai 2014 begrüßte Volksanwältin Gertrude Brinek ihre slowenische Kollegin Ombudsfrau Vlasta Nussdorfer in Wien. Im Zentrum des Treffens stand einerseits die Partizipation auf internationaler Ebene, wie die Teilnahme im Europäischen Netzwerk der Nationalen Menschenrechtsinstitutionen, und andererseits der Arbeitsalltag der Volksanwaltschaft und ihre Kooperation mit dem ORF hinsichtlich der Sendung „Bürgeranwalt“.

Ms Gabriele Morandell has been appointed as the new Local Ombudsman of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano. Ms Gabriele Morandell will replace the previous Ombudsman, Ms Burgi Volgger, as from July 2014.
