Il nuovo Difensore civico regionale, Gianluca Gardini, ha illustrato oggi alla stampa il ruolo della difesa civica regionale e gli obiettivi del suo mandato. Ha rivolto un invito, innanzitutto, ai mezzi di informazione: occorre che i cittadini sappiano che esiste un servizio pubblico gratuito, in grado di affrontare e risolvere disfunzioni amministrative in via extragiudiziale.

The transformation of the institutional system in charge of gauging reduced ability to work and establishing eligibility for benefits was not properly prepared. The new administrative bodies and their staff had not been prepared for the amount of cases they had to handle. The infrastructural background was not fully ready, either, and the lack of medical experts made things even worse. László Székely, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights, has requested the Minister of Human Resources to tackle these problems.

Nel corso degli ultimi cinque anni l’attività del Difensore Civico Regionale è cresciuta in modo esponenziale e la mediazione ha trovato sempre maggiore spazio in numerosi ambiti come strumento alternativo di risoluzione dei conflitti tra il cittadino e la P.A.
