We are seeing hate crime against religious minorities and migrants around the EU on a daily basis. In response, the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) is today publishing a compendium of good practices from across the EU on how to combat hate crime. This is the culmination of work by the Working Party on combating hate crime, to be presented today at a meeting of the Working Party in cooperation with the Dutch Presidency of the Council of the EU.

Berlin: (hib/HAU) Kindern, die nach der Scheidung der Eltern den Nachnamen eines Stiefelternteils angenommen haben (Einbenennung), soll es nach Ansicht des Petitionsausschusses bei Erlangung der Volljährigkeit grundsätzlich möglich sein, den früheren Geburtsnamen wieder anzunehmen. Eine dahingehende Petition wurde mit einstimmigem Beschluss des Ausschusses in der Sitzung am Mittwochmorgen den Fraktionen des Bundestags zur Kenntnis gegeben, "da sie als Anregung für eine parlamentarische Initiative geeignet erscheint".
