Hot off the press: Artificial Intelligence Report

Our latest report: Regulating for an Equal AI: A New Role for Equality Bodies, is a must-read for all equality practitioners working on the equality impact of artificial intelligence (AI). It presents the results of the first ever study on the equality implications of AI-related technologies from the perspective of equality bodies. The publication highlights the crucial role equality bodies play in safeguarding the principle of equality and provides a checklist for them to identify potential discrimination risks in AI applications. Furthermore, it includes a list of promising practices from equality bodies already working on the matter.

Systemic Racism and its Consequences

The death of George Floyd was only the most recent of thousands of deaths, and together with the recent demonstrations in US and in Europe, this was only the tip of the monumental iceberg of systemic racism. Make sure to have a look at our new blog post explaining what systemic racism is, and other related terms falling under the larger system of oppression manifested in our societies, as well as what equality bodies across Europe are doing to tackle racial discrimination.

Equinet response to COVID-19

We are continuing to publish blog posts on the equality implications of COVID-19 on our special COVID-19 response page. Our latest blog entry looks at the discrimination facing persons with disabilities, guest written by André Felix from the European Disability Forum.
