​Anche in tempo di pandemia, il servizio del difensore civico provinciale si è dimostrato una garanzia importante per i cittadini trentini. Lo attestano bene le cifre sciorinate stamane dall’avvocata Gianna Morandi, che a palazzo Trentini ha illustrato la sua relazione annuale, destinata all’esame del Consiglio provinciale nella seduta di martedì prossimo.

Ad ascoltare la titolare della difesa civica, organismo incardinato presso il Consiglio provinciale, c’era il presidente Walter Kaswalder. Non solo, hanno voluto essere presenti il vicepresidente della Giunta provinciale, Mario Tonina, e i consiglieri Savoi, De Godenz, Tonina, Marini, Cavada, Demagri. Molta attenzione quindi per il corposo documento, che “racconta” di ben 468 fascicoli aperti nel 2020 e di 521 istruiti e conclusi. Sono cifre inferiori rispetto all’anno precedente – ha chiarito Morandi – ma questo si deve alla paralisi sociale indotta dal Covid 19. Per contro, sono comparse nuove tipologie di questioni sottoposte al difensore, come la tutela del diritto di visitare i parenti nelle case di soggiorno oppure la quarantena sanitaria, in alcuni casi limite confinante con una sorta di privazione della libertà personale.

Il difensore civico si occupa quotidianamente (e gratuitamente per il cittadino) di una casistica assai ampia. CAYMAN ISLANDS | Ombudsman sees more data, police and whistleblower complaints

The Office of the Ombudsman’s annual report for 2020 was made public in Parliament on 14 July 2021. During 2020, the office fielded a total of 332 enquiries from members of the public, opened 231 cases for either investigation or informal resolution and resolved 210 cases. In a letter to the Senate of the Czech Republic, published today, the Commissioner expresses her support for the adoption of the Proposal for a law for a one-off financial compensation for victims of unlawful sterilisation.  In her letter, she follows up on her dialogue with the Czech Chamber of Deputies, which first adopted the bill on reparations for victims of forced or coercive sterilisation.

The Commissioner notes that, if the Senate adopts the draft law, it provides an opportunity “to allow the victims to experience a measure of justice and to move forward.”
