Lola Padrón, Diputada del Común, ha visitado este viernes junto al Defensor del Pueblo, Ángel Gabilondo y la adjunta segunda Patricia Bárcena, a una visita a dos centros de menores migrantes no acompañados.

También estuvieron la Consejera del gobierno canario, Candelaria Delgado y autoridades locales e insulares. Gabilondo señaló que esta visita es para estar más cerca de quienes lo necesitan.Precisó que «la acogida no es lo mismo que la recogida» y por eso entiende que el Gobierno debe buscar medidas y modificaciones legales «muy necesarias» para garantizar los derechos y las perspectivas de futuro.

Support for human rights systems and defenders

FRA took part in the 10th EU human rights dialogue with Indonesia hosted by the EU External Action Service (EEAS). FRA’s joined the EU delegation at the request of new EU Special Representative on Human Rights, Olof Skoog.

FRA offered perspectives on the EU’s internal human rights challenges. It also shared insights on legal and policy responses to such challenges, as well as relevant research and activities. 

The dialogue took place in Brussels on 15 July. 

Concepción Gimeno mantuvo el pasado miércoles sendas reuniones con Arbada y con TCA-Aragón, asociaciones que le trasladaron su preocupación por el cierre hasta septiembre

La Justicia de Aragón, Concepción Gimeno, ha recibido con satisfacción la noticia de la reapertura de la Unidad de Trastornos Alimentarios del Hospital Provincial de Zaragoza, que se ha fijado para el próximo 1 de agosto.

La unidad ha permanecido cerrada desde que comenzó el mes de julio, una situación que fue denunciada por representantes de Arbada y TCA-Aragón ante la Justicia de Aragón. En las reuniones que Concepción Gimeno mantuvo con ambas entidades, estas le trasladaron su “honda preocupación” por el cierre previsto hasta septiembre.

La Justicia se comprometió a contactar con la Consejería de Sanidad, a quien ahora agradece los esfuerzos de los profesionales y del Departamento por evitar el cierre de una unidad que atiende alrededor de 250 personas.

During the bilateral meeting, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary Dr. Ákos Kozma informed the delegation of the responsibilities and competences of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights, his recent activities, with special regard to the circumstances of receiving the persons fleeing to Hungary from the war in Ukraine, as well as the measures taken to help them, furthermore, the activities and experience of the Ombudsman’s information points established on the border in order to provide them with direct legal and humanitarian support.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Commissioner of the National Police Headquarters for Law Enforcement, Police Major General Dr. János Zoltán Kuczik, Secretary-General of the Office (AJBH) Dr. Balázs Könnyid, and AJBH’s Director-General of the Police Complaints Directorate Dr. Domonkos Wildner.

The Northwest Regional Center of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan organized a training on the right to vote of citizens in Chapaghan village in Sheki district. The event, which was held to raise public awareness of early parlamentary elections, was held for municipalites and executive authority.  

At the event, the head of the Northwest Regional Center, P. Mammadov, said that the Ombudsman institution always focuses on safeguarding the right to vote in our country, and carries out consistent work to effectively ensure and protect the right to vote, including a series of educational events in this field.

Also, the participants were informed of the provisions of the Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the voting process. Overall, the questions of the participants were answered.
